This makeup look was a look I created for one of my brides, who loved ‘big lashes’ and eyeliner and wanted to make it the main feature of her wedding makeup look.
You can have big lashes and eyeliner on your wedding day – but, it is important that the eyeliner is applied very finely or the makeup can end up looking like party makeup, rather than a wedding day makeup. Also, when using black eyeliner on a wedding day if you also use eyeshadow which is too dark, it can photograph too dark against a light coloured wedding dress.
So to create this makeup look, I first made sure that the skin was absolutely flawless and fresh – after applying the Daniel Sandler Re-texturising Primer, CHANEL Pro-Lumiere Foundation, and the Lancome Long-Lasting Softening Concealer, I then set the base using the Daniel Sandler Blotting Powder.
It is important with such a strong eye makeup look to keep the cheeks soft and pretty – I used the Daniel Sandler Creme Bronzer in shade Riviera on the cheekbones and the Watercolour Creme Blusher in shade Soft Pink on the apple of the cheeks.
After softly defining the brows, my bride did not want to wear any eyeshadow colours at all, so I used an eye primer by Urban Decay to clean the eye area and then for the all important eyeliner – the product I use for this as it is so waterproof is the Daniel Sandler Eye Love It in shade Rock Chick and I apply the product with the finest lip brush – across the top lash line and then to the lower lashline – that is the part you will need to practise the most, as it has to be right next to the lower lashes and it needs to be so fine.
For the lashes (as I mentioned earlier this bride LOVES big, big lashes), we used the Lancome HYPNOSE Doll Eyes Mascara – several coats on the top lashes, slightly less below.
Lips were kept so natural – I applied the Daniel Sandler Luxury Lipstick in shade Goddess to the lips and then to give the lips a ‘hint’ of warmth, I gently patted the Luxury Lipstick in Pucker on top of the Goddess Lipstick.
